Abstract

This work aims to analyze and understand mathematical communication as a sales strategy, which makes up the universe of Feira Livre, exploring the use of the language of marketers at the Feira Livre in the city of Ouriçangas - Ba. Through the observation of the relationships woven in that space, as well as the interviews carried out with some market vendors, an investigation was carried out on the quotidian in the context of the Feira Livre, analyzing playfulness, gestures, performances and mathematical practices, in addition to peculiar ways of measuring, comparing, classify, round, calculate and infer, which enable marketers to solve their own problems by 'making the fair'. In this research, a qualitative analysis of the collected data was made, identifying and analyzing the interest in researching the Mathematics used in the commercialization of agricultural products at Feira Livre. It arises from the fact that it knows some marketers, who at all times use mathematical processes superimposed on questions of survival that are transmitted in practice by the experience acquired over time, and that, many times, the marketers themselves are unaware of it. With the research it was found that there are several ways of thinking and doing mathematics, which depends on the cultural context of each individual, which evidences their own knowledge, an autonomy of thought, which recreates Mathematics, revealing new arithmetic concepts from their reading the world, the logic used in the act of making the fair.
